But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

-Khalil Gibran

The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it.

―Mother Teresa

You are far from the end of your journey. The way is not in the sky.

The way is in the heart. See how you love.
 Buddha Shakyamuni

In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.

Khalil Gibran

Wherever you are / is the entry point.
— Kabir

Never stop fighting until you arrive at your destined place - that is, the unique you. Have an aim in life, continuously acquire knowledge, work hard, and have perseverance to realise the great life.
 — A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Have you not noticed that love is silence? It may be while holding the hand of another, or looking lovingly at a child, or taking in the beauty of an evening. Love has no past or future, and so it is with this extraordinary state of silence.

Jiddu Krishnamurti

The meaning of things lies not in the things themselves, but in our attitude towards them.
―Antoine de Saint-Exupery

“When the eagle takes flight into the vast sky, it never thinks, 'My wings won't be able to carry me; I won't be able to fly that far.' Likewise, when dying, remember your guru and his instructions, and adhere to them with complete confidence.”

Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche –

It is not what to do, but how much love we put into the doing. We can do not greats, only small things with great love.
Mother Theresa

Love the whole world as a mother loves her only child.
— Buddha Shakyamuni

To be in harmony with the wholeness of things is not to have anxiety over imperfections.
—Japanese Zen Buddhist teacher Dogen Zenji

“Man surprised me most about humanity. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
~14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso
The greatest achievement is selflessness.
The greatest worth is self-mastery.
The greatest quality is seeking to serve others.
The greatest precept is continual awareness.
The greatest medicine is the emptiness of everything.
The greatest action is not conforming with the worlds ways.
The greatest magic is transmuting the passions.
The greatest generosity is non-attachment.
The greatest goodness is a peaceful mind.
The greatest patience is humility.
The greatest effort is not concerned with results.
The greatest meditation is a mind that lets go.
The greatest wisdom is seeing through appearances.
Atisha Dipamkara (982-1054)

“True happiness comes from the joy of deeds well done, the zest of creating things new.”
―Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.
Swami Sivananda

Our mind is capable of passing beyond the dividing line we have drawn for it. Beyond the pairs of opposites of which the world consists, other, new insights begin.

Hermann Hesse

Always keep a smiling face and a loving mind, and speak truthfully without malice.
Atisha

Since all the happiness and suffering of this life arise from previous actions, do not blame others.
Atisha

The road to greatness goes through the silence.
― Friedrich Nietzsche

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
―Albert Einstein

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
Jalaluddin Rumi

You're beautiful, but you're empty...One couldn't die for you. Of course, an ordinary passerby would think my rose looked just like you. But my rose, all on her own, is more important than all of you together, since she's the one I've watered. Since she's the one I put under glass, since she's the one I sheltered behind the screen. Since she's the one for whom I killed the caterpillars (except the two or three butterflies). Since she's the one I listened to when she complained, or when she boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing at all. Since she's my rose.”

― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Smile, breathe and go slowly.
Thich Nhat Hanh

The source of love is deep in us and we can help others realize a lot of happiness. One word, one action, one thought can reduce another person’s suffering and bring that person joy.
Thich Nhat Hanh

In the end, just three things matter:
How well we have lived
How well we have loved
How well we have learned to let go.
― Jack Kornfield

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
 ―Mahatma Gandhi

Time in your life is short and sweet
Do not waste it in endless success seeking
Go to the very root of success
So that time can not hinder
All your efforts in achieving things.
―Guruji Viswanath

Love is the only reality and it is not a mere sentiment. It is the ultimate truth that lies at the heart of creation.

Rabindranath Tagore

Whatever happens, I will not let my cheerfulness be disturbed. Being unhappy won't get me anywhere and will dissipate all my goodness. Why be unhappy about something if you can change it? And if you can't, how will being unhappy help?

Shantideva

Be as careful as you can. Our minds are funny. Sometimes we are skeptical of things that are really worthwhile and completely accepting of things that we should avoid. Try to avoid extremes and follow the middle way, checking with wisdom wherever you go.
 ~Lama Zopa Rinpoche

What could I say to you that would be of value, except that perhaps you seek too much, that as a result of your seeking you cannot find.
-Hermann Hesse

Love is the only reality and it is not a mere sentiment. It is the ultimate truth that lies at the heart of creation.
Rabindranath Tagore

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
―Mahatma Gandhi

Through my love for you, I want to express my love for the whole cosmos, the whole of humanity, and all beings. By living with you, I want to learn to love everyone and all species. If I succeed in loving you, I will be able to love everyone and all species on Earth... This is the real message of love.

― Thich Nhat Hanh, Teachings on Love

Whatever happens, I will not let my cheerfulness be disturbed. Being unhappy won't get me anywhere and will dissipate all my goodness. Why be unhappy about something if you can change it? And if you can't, how will being unhappy help?

Conceiving of your body as a servant or a thing to ferry you about, Don’t allow it to rest in idleness for even just a single moment; Use it well, spurring on your entire body, speech and mind to virtue.
Chatral Rinpoche

To expect happiness without giving up negative action is like holding your hand in a fire and hoping not to be burned. Of course, no one actually wants to suffer, to be sick, to be cold or hungry – but as long as we continue to indulge in wrong doing we will never put an end to suffering. Likewise, we will never achieve happiness, except through positive deeds, words, and thoughts. Positive action is something we have to cultivate ourselves; it can be neither bought nor stolen, and no one ever stumbles on it just by chance.

~ H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

When you run after your thoughts, you are like a dog chasing a stick; every time a stick is thrown, you run after it. But if, instead, you look at where your thoughts are coming from, you will see that each thought arises and dissolves within the space of that awareness, without engendering other thoughts. Be like a lion, who rather than chasing after the stick, turns to face the thrower. One only throws a stick at a lion once.”
~ H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Be as careful as you can. Our minds are funny. Sometimes we are skeptical of things that are really worthwhile and completely accepting of things that we should avoid. Try to avoid extremes and follow the middle way, checking with wisdom wherever you go.

―Lama Zopa Rinpoche

When we finally know we are dying, and all other sentient beings are dying with us, we start to have a burning, almost heartbreaking sense of the fragility and preciousness of each moment and each being, and from this can grow a deep, clear, limitless compassion for all beings.
―Sogyal Rinpoche

Just so, you might say to them: "The proof that the little prince existed is that he was charming, that he laughed, and that he was looking for a sheep. If anybody wants a sheep, that is a proof that he exists." And what good would it do to tell them that? They would shrug their shoulders, and treat you like a child. But if you said to them: "The planet he came from is Asteroid B-612," then they would be convinced, and leave you in peace from their questions.

― The Little Prince,
Antoine de Saint Exupery

To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one's family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one's own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.

Happiness
by Gendun Rinpoche

Happiness cannot be found
through great effort and willpower,
but is already here, right now,
in relaxation and letting go.
Don't strain yourself, there is nothing to do.
Whatever arises in the mind
has no importance at all,
because it has no reality whatsoever.
Don't become attached to it. Don't pass judgement.
Let the game happen on its own,
emerging and falling back - without changing anything -
and all will vanish and begin anew, without end.
Only our searching for happiness prevents us from seeing it.
It is like a rainbow which you run after without ever catching it.
Although it does not exist, it has always been there
and accompanies you every instant.
Don't believe in the reality of good and bad experiences;
they are like rainbows.
Wanting to grasp the ungraspable you exhaust yourself in vain.
As soon as you relax this grasping,
there is space - open, inviting and comfortable.
So make use of it. Everything is already yours.
Search no more,
Don't go into the inextricable jungle
looking for the elephant who is already quietly at home.
Nothing to do,
nothing to force,
nothing to want
and everything happens by itself.

One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.
― Malala Yousafzai

If you are going, remember bodhicitta
If you are sitting, remember bodhicitta
If you are lying down, remember bodhicitta
If you are standing, remember bodhicitta.
– Khunu Rinpoche

Bodhicitta: "enlightenment-mind", is the mind that strives toward awakening, empathy and compassion for the benefit of all sentient beings

Happy is he who has lofty and noble aspirations.
Happy is he who enriches the lives of others.
Happy is he who allows others to live in peace.
Happy is he who makes this world a better place to live in.
Happy is he whose work, chores and daily tasks are labours of love.
Happy is he who loves love.

~ Bhante Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda

Overcome space, and all we have left is Here. Overcome time, and all we have left is Now.
― Richard Bach, Jonathan Livingston Seagull

A beautiful country is a dream-like illusion. It is senseless to cling to it. Unless the inner forces of negative emotions are conquered, strife with outer enemies will never end.
~ Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Even if a Bodhisattva investigates the highest wisdom, one is not a proper Bodhisattva unless one applies skillful means for the benefit of other sentient beings.

Swim out of your little pond.
― Rumi

Life is short and the time of death is uncertain; so apply yourself to meditation. Avoid doing evil, and acquire merit, to the best of your ability, even at the cost of life itself. In short: Act so that you have no cause to be ashamed of yourselves and hold fast to this rule.
― Milarepa

You should respect each other and refrain from disputes; you should not like water and oil repel each other, but should, like milk and water, mingle together.

Dreams transform into thoughts and thoughts result in action. Dreams are not those which come while we are sleeping but dreams are those when you don´t sleep before fulfilling them.
―Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

When you are inspired by some great purpose, all your thoughts break their bounds. Your mind transcend limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents come alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamt yourself to be.
 ―Maharishi Patanjali
